Tim Owens, D.D.S.
Dr. Owens is passionate about dentistry and creating a wonderful dental experience for all of his guests. Dentistry is not just being a “tooth doctor” but knowing the role teeth play within the whole body and must be in harmony for complete oral health. He has seen dentistry change the lives of his patients through up to date dental procedures, from relieving chronic headaches to restoring confidence in a patient by giving them a beautiful natural smile. With all the advancements in dentistry it is a wonderful time to be a dentist.
He feels that his dental education is never complete as he constantly seeks out the best continuing education courses available around the country. He most recently has studied with the reputable Dawson Academy and has completed the Gold Dust Clinical Mastery series with Dr. David Hornbrook. His education also includes coursework at the Las Vegas Institute for Advanced Dental Studies (LVI).
He is a member of the Academy of General Dentistry (AGD),American Academy of Cosmetic Dentistry (AACD), Dental Organization of Conscious Sedation (DOCS), American Dental Association (ADA), Colorado Dental Association (CDA), and the Larimer County Dental Society.
His formal training was at the State University of New York at Buffalo where he graduated Cum Laude with his Doctor of Dental Surgery degree. Upon graduation, he was nominated by dental school faculty into Omicron Kappa Upsilon, a National Dental Honor Society based on academic achievement and moral character.
Following dental school Dr. Owens completed a one year post-graduate residency program at the University of Utah hospital in Salt Lake City where he was mentored by dental specialists in endodontics, pedodontics, periodontics, and oral surgery. His background also includes a master’s degree in physical therapy, which he earned fromSyracuse Upstate Medical Center where he graduated Summa Cum Laude.
Dr. Owens was born and raised near Buffalo, New York. He served as a church missionary in Brazil for 2 years. He studied at Brigham Young University, where he met his wife, Caroline, who is from Northern California. They stay busy raising their five wonderful children: Lindsay, Miles, Samuel, Wesley, and Julia.
